I found out late Monday that Danielle, one of the little Starfish, past away in her sleep. Hearing this sad news after last weeks Earthquake and all the suffering tore my heart. So much sadness. I know she is now in a better place. But she was matched...she had a family! She was waiting. I feel so sad that she never got to experience the joy of having a forever family. This must be so hard on her family waiting for her, Amanda, the nannies and the other children. They lost a child...a little friend. Please pray for Danielle.
I do feel some comfort in knowing she is now soaking up lots of love....being held in the most loving arms.
Here are a couple videos of Danielle and I taken while I was there in September. I believe she had turned one in October 2007. For some reason I am unable to down load the videos. I will keep trying...here though is a lovely photo of the sweet little girl...
God Bless Danielle. You were so cute. You had the biggest eyes and sweetest smile. You will be missed and not forgotten.

I felt the same shock and awe when I read about Danielle. It seems so unfair with the circumstances of her having a family ready and the little incredible life that she was. Very sweetly written!
I am so sorry. What a sad news. It might be so tough for the Starfish people and Amanda and for her waiting family. Praying they can all find some peace.
Oh my gosh, so sad, I am shocked too. What a beautiful baby! How can we deal with so much tragedy?
