Xujiahui Catholic Cathedral

I found the photo of the church on the Internet.
Xujiahui Catholic Cathedral. Check out the apartment high rises in the back. The old and the new. The Cathedral was originally known as St. Ignatius Cathedral and was built in the 1904 by the Jesuits. It is one of the largest Catholic Churches in China. The interior was severely damaged during the Cultural Revolution however it was restored in the early 80s. It was featured in Steven Spielberg's film "Empire of the Sun". We did it! We made it to 10:00 Mass in Chinese at the Cathedral.

Can you see the Bride and Groom? There was a wedding during the Mass. The bride was in white and it was a traditional Catholic marriage ceremony. It was in Chinese but I could tell it was the traditional mass. It was very beautiful.

Other than Mass we have had a pretty quiet day. We continue to get to know one another. :) We did take another walk to Wal-Mart and bought some food for sandwiches and took it to Amanda and Rose. Rose has not yet had her surgery. She was suppose to be the first of 4 babies being operated on today by Love without Boundaries, however, she was moved to the final baby.

I received some amazing news today!!!!!!!!!!!! Angel's family is going to get her at the end of November!!!!!!! We will just miss one another by a few days. I am so excited for Angel and her family!!!!! YAHOOO!!!! She will be home for Christmas. I wish/hope Benjamin's family receives their travel approval by Christmas.
