Getting closer.....

We found out yesterday where we will be staying in Beijing and Nanchang.

Beijing - first night - Oriental Culture Hotel - I don't think I will get much sleep that night!...knowing that in only a matter of hours we will meet our daughter....and that this precious little human being will be ours forever. I will also, as is the case right now...worry about this and that. Do we have all necessary documents and fees?..what will she be like?...will she cry?...will she have this blank scared look on her face?....will we be able to settle her if she is scared?...what should I bring when we get her?...and the list of thoughts go on.... :) But I know in the end all will be fine...and all that matters is that we are finally together...a family. I have to remember that when I am up in the middle of the night freaking! :)

This hotel looks neat! Iain loves the name "Galactic". You sound see how funky the place looks. Go check out the photos. This is the place we will spend our first night together as a family!!!!!!!!! Unbelievable that in 11-days this is where we will be cuddling our little Mary Anne. We spend about 1-week here. We don't have our full itinerary yet. Hopefully our travel package arrives today from our Facilitator, which will have our tickets, hotel information, passports, visa etc....Another thing we are anxiously awaiting in this whole process.

Finally we return to Beijing and spend just short of a week at the State Guest Hotel.

I am still not sleeping very well. Well actually not at all, it seems, come morning. BUT I guess that is all part of being a Mother. :) I am starting early, preparing for those sleepless nights. I look forward to hearing her little voice in the middle of the night.

It is amazing that one year ago I was in China volunteering at Starfish. If you would like to read about my experience go to September and October/November 2007. It is interesting that I will be traveling back to China at the same time of year. I LOVED China and I am really looking forward to spending time again in such an amazing and beautiful Country. You would think that maybe I would feel a little confident and less worried given I traveled to China twice and cared for a sick baby. At times I do and then others I forget all that I did with Cailean and how much that did prepare me for this trip. I recently read my journal from my time there and all the fears I overcame then so that on this trip I can go relax and enjoy!! :) This is what I am going to try to do...relax and enjoy and go with the flow!!!...squeeze, hug and love that daugther of ours!
